Vision

"And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved." - Acts 2:46-47

This passage of scripture from the Book of Acts gives a description of what the church was like shortly after the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The church was together. They shared food and ate together. They were joyful. Relationships mattered. They praised God and their joy was infectious. People outside the church noticed them...and they liked them. And God added to the church in a very simple way - by the church being the best church it could be.

The idea of the 'best church' doesn't have any thing to do with a church's budget, location, or building size. The 'best church' is simply the church that is in love with God, because they know that He is in love with us. This is our vision: to be the best church we can be, through Passion for God, and Compassion for People.

Jesus summed up God's hope for us in this simple idea: Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength...and love your neighbor as yourself. At CCC we say it this way: Passion for God and Compassion for People!

The Bible shows us that God desires to have a meaningful relationship with each one of us - a relationship founded on His great love, mercy, and grace. God came to us in the life of Jesus of Nazareth, who said 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me.' His life, death, and resurrection is the way! He poured out His life for the forgiveness of our sins, so that we can have a relationship with God - Passion for God!

We believe that everyone needs a vibrant church home - a group of people to encourage you, pray with you, grow with you, and serve with you. This is the church - the body of Christ. Pride tells us that we can get by on our own...but the truth is that God made us to live with helpful, healthy relationships - Compassion for People!

Our vision, our hope, for the present and near future is to see many people come to place their faith and trust in God! We hope to be an active church, helping and serving our community, even leading in as many constructive ways as we can. We want to see lonely people given the gift of new friendships, we want to see the hurting healed, we want to see desperate families find life and renewal in God.

Maybe our vision is too big! Too great! We believe in big things because we have an even bigger, greater God! When we place our trust in Him, He responds in great ways.

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever wants to come near to God
must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him!" - Hebrews 11:6

Each year, each month, each week, we see God to great and wonderful things in our church family. We want this for you, too!

Our vision for each person that worships at CCC is this:

Love Learn Lead Launch

Love, Learn, Lead, and Launch. We want you to know and live in God's love for you. We want you to grow as a follower of Jesus as you build relationships with others in His church and learn God's truth. We want you to take a step of faith and begin to lead in the ways that God has prepared you. Finally, after loving, learning, and leading, we know that you will launch with excitement to tell others about what God has done for you!

We would love to see you in worship on Sunday morning at 10:30am. We also have Bible Fellowship classes for all ages at 9:30am.
