"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise." - Deuteronomy 6:4-7
God loves kids and so do we! God takes raising children seriously! Parents are the primary life teachers of their children. CCC provides Bible classes at 9:30 am each Sunday, and we have Kings' Kids and Junior Church for elementary aged kids during our morning worship service. These lesson and worship times are our way of helping you raise your kids to grow up God's way.
Family Discipleship is God's plan for raising Christian kids. This happens when parents are growing in their faith and they teach what they know and learn to the next generation. It is simply impossible for the church to spiritually raise your kids. We only get to see your kids for a few precious hours each week! What happens in the home matters. And it turns out that no one is better equipped to teach your kids than you. God made us that way :)
For this reason we use the Gospel Project curriculum for our 9:30 am children's Bible classes, and we also offer a Gospel Project adult class. What this means is that all kids from toddlers up to 12th graders are looking at the same part of the Bible each week. So your 5th grader just read the same scripture as your 10th grader and you can follow up with both of them at the same time! No more 'what did you learn in class today?' Because the adult Gospel Project class covers the same Bible passage, too. Now, when you jump in the car after church, Mom and Dad know what their kids learned...and the kids know what Mom and Dad learned, too! The Gospel Project helps us follow God's pattern for Family Discipleship.
There's even a Gospel Project app for your family!
Due to Covid-19 health safety and guidelines, CCC is not offering Children's ministry activities at this time. The CCC nursery is available during worship for parental use only. The CCC playground is available following worship with parental supervision.
